Programs

At the Cedar Springs Public Library, we offer engaging programs for all ages, from infants to seniors. Whether you're looking for early literacy activities, fun and educational programs for kids, or lifelong learning opportunities for adults, our library has something for everyone. Explore our programs below!

STORYTIME

Music & Movement Storytime - Join us for lots of lap bounces, shakers, and more at Music & Movement Storytime every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room! This special story time is thoughtfully designed for our youngest patrons (ages 18 months to 4-years-old), but all Library Kids are welcome to attend.

Family Storytime - Join us every Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room for Family Storytime. We'll sing, dance, and read together - plus you can take home a craft based on our theme! Family Storytime is a great way to establish early literacy skills. While this program is designed for children age 5 and under, all children are welcome to attend!

ATTENTION GROWNUPS: Library kids have the best experience at Storytime when their parent, grandparent, or special grown-up is actively involved. Everyone is encouraged to sing, dance, and read with us! Please remember to silence your mobile devices and keep conversations for after Storytime.

Kids reading a book with text: "1000 Books Before Kindergarten. Read it and Reap!"

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten - Any child that hasn’t started Kindergarten can sign up. This includes newborns, infants and/or toddlers. The goal is simple…to read 1,000 books before your little one starts Kindergarten – and yes, you can repeat books! After reading 1,000 books, your kiddo will receive an official book bag containing a special book and stuffed animal character. Contact us for more information.
