🌟 Early Childhood Open House

Saturday, January 24 | 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Cedar Springs Public Library

Families with young children are invited to join us for an Early Childhood Open House at the Cedar Springs Public Library! This free, family-friendly event is designed to support parents and caregivers as they prepare their little ones for a safe, healthy, and successful start to school.

Meet local experts and community partners who will be on hand to share information and answer questions, including:

• Kent County Sheriff’s Department – Car seat safety information
• Kent County Health Department – Updates on new kindergarten health requirements
• GSRP & Head Start – Early childhood education opportunities
• 1000 Books Before Kindergarten – Learn how reading builds early literacy and school readiness
• And more resources for families with young children!

Whether you’re planning for kindergarten or just beginning your child’s learning journey, this open house offers helpful guidance, trusted resources, and encouragement every step of the way.

No registration required. Families are welcome to stop in anytime during the event.

Cedar Springs Public Library has just rolled out Niche Academy integrations, making it easier than ever to access free, high-quality tutorials directly alongside the services you use every day.

What’s New?

You’ll now see helpful Niche Academy tutorial links and videos embedded throughout our website. That means no more hunting around for help - the guidance you're looking for is right where you need it.

These new integrations include:

• Step-by-step video tutorials for using popular digital resources like Libby, Michigan eLibrary databases, common social media platforms, and more.
• Quick tips and walkthroughs for eBooks, job-seeking tools, homework help, and popular software like Microsoft Office and Gmail.
